Coastal Dune Lake

Dune lakes are typically shallow, irregularly shaped permanent bodies of water that are brackish and dark-colored due a mix of both salt and freshwater sources. Renovations
Since August of 2021, Deer Lake State Park has undergone several improvements. The newly paved park access road leads to new picnic shelters, upgraded restroom facilities, and even connections to utilities for RVs. There are plenty of ways to enjoy the park for the day or overnight!

The biggest draw is, of course, the beach. Spend time on the sand walking or running, sunbathing, building sand castles, and more.
